Products Description

aisi 1045 cold drawn steel is a high-quality carbon structural steel. Its hardness is not high, but it is easy to cut and is commonly used as a template, pin, guide pillar, etc. in molds. In order to achieve the required mechanical properties, aisi 1045 steel needs to undergo heat treatment. The recommended heat treatment includes normalizing (850 ℃), quenching (840 ℃), and tempering (600 ℃). After such heat treatment(Q+T), the hardness of 1045 steel can reach HRC55 (up to HRC62), and it has good comprehensive mechanical properties. It is widely used in various important structural parts, especially connecting rods, bolts, gears, and shafts working under alternating loads.
In addition, the specific values of the tensile strength and yield strength of 1045 steel are 600MPa and 355MPa, respectively, with an elongation of 16%, a reduction in area of 40%, and an impact energy of 39J. These performance indicators indicate that 1045 carbon steel has good strength and toughness, and is suitable for various engineering applications.
