Plastic Mould Steel DIN 1.2783 is for Injection moulds for thermoplastics,Extrusion dies for thermoplastics, Blow moulds, Forming tools, press – brake dies(possibly flame hardened or nitrided ), Aluminium die casting prototype dies,Structural components, shafts.

4. Charateristics
1.2738 steel has good mechanical property and quenching, make surface have equal hardness after deal with it. Nice polishing and low roughness. Normally make the heat-treatment to harden condition before used, it can be used directly after the mould machined.
