Production Process

UNS S31254 stainless steel plate is available in two types - cold rolled and hot rolled - with thickness ranging from 0.2-4mm (thin plate) to 0.3-85mm (thick plate).
1. Numerous on-site experiments and extensive usage experience have shown that even at slightly higher temperatures, UNS S31254 stainless steel plate has high resistance to crevice corrosion in seawater, with only a few types of stainless steel exhibiting this performance.
2.The corrosion resistance of UNS S31254 stainless steel in acidic solutions and oxidizing halide solutions required for paper bleaching production is comparable to that of nickel based alloys and titanium alloys, which have the strongest corrosion resistance.
3.Due to its high nitrogen content, UNS S31254(254 SMO stainless steel has higher mechanical strength than other types of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, astm a312 uns s31254 also has high ductility, impact strength, and good weldability.
4.The high molybdenum content of uns31254 stainless steel can lead to a higher oxidation rate during annealing, resulting in a rougher surface than ordinary stainless steel after pickling. But this has no adverse effect on the corrosion resistance of the steel.

The advantages of uns31254 Stainless Steel Plates including excellent resistance to pitting corrosion (PREN ≥ 43) and stress corrosion cracking under low velocity conditions with saltwater and in the presence of crevices, making it a viable alternative to nickel and titanium alloys. It also boasts superior high-temperature and corrosion resistance compared to other stainless steels, due to its high nitrogen content. Additionally, its mechanical strength is higher than other austenitic stainless steels and has better wear resistance than common materials. Its relatively low nickel content offers a cost-effective solution, while its high ductility, impact strength, and weldability make it a versatile material for various applications.

uns31254 Stainless Steel Product Applications:
1. Petroleum and petrochemical equipment, such as corrugated pipes in petrochemical equipment.
2. Pulp and paper bleaching equipment, such as pulp digesters, bleaching equipment, drum and pressure rollers used for filtration and washing.
3. The flue gas desulfurization device in power plants is mainly used in the tower body, flue, door panels, internal components, spray systems, etc. of the absorption tower.
4. Offshore systems or seawater treatment, such as thin-walled condensing pipelines cooled by seawater in power plants, seawater desalination equipment, can be applied even in equipment where seawater may not flow.
5. Desalination industry, such as salt making or desalination equipment.
6. Heat exchangers, especially in environments with chloride ions.
