AISI 904L stainless steel is a high alloyed austenitic stainless steel with very low carbon content. The combination of high content of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and copper gives the steel good resistance to uniform corrosion. The addition of copper makes it have strong acid resistance, can resist various organic acids and inorganic acids, especially chloride crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, is not easy to appear corrosion spots and cracks, and has strong pitting corrosion resistance. AISI 904L has good corrosion resistance in dilute sulfuric acid, and this alloy is a matching steel for the strong corrosive medium of dilute sulfuric acid. It is also resistant to seawater, has good machinability and weldability, and is widely used in construction, chemical, medical and other industries.
