• Gears bear high stress, and parts in use are easy to wear and fatigue.

• Under quenching and tempering conditions: safety critical components.

14NiCrMo13-4 features

• High mechanical performance.

• Good fatigue strength.

• After carburizing, quenching and tempering, the surface hardness is about 730 HV.

• The carburized layer has good toughness.

• For some carburizing applications, gas pressure quenching can be used instead of oil quenching to minimize the deformation caused by heat treatment.
