x46Cr13 stainless steel heat treatment specification
The heat treatment specifications for X46Cr13 stainless steel include processes annealing, quenching, and tempering. The annealing temperature is usually between 800 and 900 ℃ for slow cooling, or about 750 ℃ for fast cooling. The quenching temperature is carried out in oil at 1050 to 1100 ℃ to obtain higher hardness. The tempering temperature is rapidly cooled between 200 and 300 ℃ to restore the plasticity of the material. These heat treatment specifications improve x46Cr13 stainless steel mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
The hardness of x46Cr13 stainless steel after heat treatment is good. It is not exceed 201HB in the annealed state, while the hardness after quenching and tempering can reach 500HV or above. These data indicate that the hardness of x46Cr13 stainless steel has been significantly improved after appropriate heat treatment, which is crucial for improving its wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
