718h mold steel is a plastic mold steel with the Chinese brand 3Cr2NiMo. Mainly aimed at improving P20 mold steel, the 718h hardness is higher than that of P20 mold steel, meeting the demand of the domestic market. It is a typical steel grade of the most widely used general-purpose plastic mold steel, commonly referred to as advanced plastic mold steel. Newly developed new steel grades often use it as a comparison model.
718H steel is a pre hardened plastic mold steel produced by Yishengbai in Sweden. It is a vacuum melted chromium, nickel, and molybdenum alloy steel with high cleanliness, excellent uniformity, and excellent polishing and photolithography properties. Pre hardened steel can also be used in the mold chamber without quenching, and the flange can be flame quenched and hardened, with a hardness of up to 52HRC.
This steel does not require heat treatment, which can shorten the mold production cycle, reduce the cost of the mold, and make the mold easy to modify or repair. Nitriding and hardening treatment can be applied to enhance the surface hardness and wear resistance of the mold.
