On September,2nd, 2024, Sichuan Huitai Special Metals Co., Ltd. successfully loaded a 20ft full container of H13 steel plate to customer.
The H13 steel produced by Sichuan Huitai is of high quality and stable performance and has been successfully exported to Italy, mainly used in the country's high-end mold manufacturing industry. As a hot working die steel with excellent performance, H13 forging steel plate has a wide range of applications:
- Die-casting mold: In the non-ferrous metal die-casting industry, H13 is the "main force". When die-casting aluminum alloys and magnesium alloys, the molds must withstand high temperature, high pressure and repeated thermal shock. H13 forging steel plate can maintain the mold accuracy and performance for a long time with its excellent high temperature strength, tempering stability and thermal fatigue resistance, ensuring the accurate size and reliable quality of die-cast automobile engine cylinder blocks, wheels and other parts.
- Forging mold: used to manufacture various hot forging molds. When forging metals such as steel and copper, the molds face severe friction and high load pressure. The high hardness, good toughness and wear resistance of H13 can effectively resist these losses and ensure the continuity of forging production. For example, molds for producing forgings such as automobile half shafts and crankshafts often use H13 steel plates.
- Plastic mold: H13 is used in some large plastic injection molds with high requirements for precision and strength. Although the plastic molding temperature is much lower than metal die casting, the mold needs to be opened and closed frequently during the injection molding of some engineering plastics. The wear resistance and deformation resistance of H13 can extend the service life of the mold and reduce production costs. It is commonly used in injection molds for home appliance housings and automotive interior parts.
- Extrusion molds: In the field of aluminum profile and copper profile extrusion processing, H13 forged steel plates can be used to make extrusion cylinders, extrusion rods, mold liners and other components. Profile extrusion is a continuous high-pressure operation. H13 can withstand high temperature and high pressure environments, help to stably extrude high-quality profile products, and meet the profile requirements of industries such as building doors and windows, electronic radiators, etc.
- Mechanical parts: Some mechanical parts that are subject to high temperatures and friction conditions also use H13, such as shafts and gear parts working in high temperature environments. The comprehensive mechanical properties of H13 are used to enhance the reliability of parts under complex working conditions and reduce the frequency of maintenance and replacement.
