DC53 mold steel, commonly known as Cr8Mo2VSi, has excellent wear resistance and crack resistance. DC53 steel is produced in an annealed state, with a raw material hardness of daoHRC18-20. DC53 is a chromium molybdenum vanadium hot work alloy mold steel, which is a high-purity and microstructural steel material obtained through special steelmaking technology and strict quality control. The equivalent grades of DC53 materials include: ASSAB84072M and ASSAB8407SUPREMEES. DC53 mold steel, also known as PD613, is a grade of Datong Steel Plant in Japan. It is a material that improves and upgrades the existing JIS standard skd11 mold steel in Japan. It is widely used in punching molds, cold work forming molds, and cold drawing molds, and has good performance.
DC53 Metal Composition
Carbon 0.9-1.1
Cr Chromium 7-9
Molybdenum 1.8-2.1
Vanadium 0.15-0.35
Silicon 0.8-1.1
Manganese 0.2-0.5
DC53 steel (Cr8Mo2SiV) is mainly used in punching molds, cold working forming molds, cold drawing molds, rolling rolls, punch heads, cutting rings, and various stamping molds
After heat treatment, the hardness of DC53 is higher than that of SKD11, and after high-temperature tempering (520-530 ℃), it can reach a high hardness of 62-63HRC, surpassing SKD11 in strength. The toughness is twice that of SKD11.
DC53 Applications
1. Punching molds, cold forming molds, and cold drawing molds
2. Precision punching dies and various stamping dies for wire cutting processing
3. High speed punching punch and stainless steel plate punch
