1.3343 material is a general-purpose high-speed steel of tungsten-molybdenum series. Its main advantages include:

  • High hardness: After heat treatment, the hardness of 1.3343 steel can reach 64HRC, which makes it perform well when cutting materials with higher hardness.
  • Good wear resistance: Due to its high hardness, hss 1.3343 has excellent wear resistance and can maintain good cutting performance during long-term use.
  • Good toughness: 1.3343 steel also has good toughness, which can reduce the breakage and wear of the tool and increase the service life of the tool.
  • Good red hardness: 1.3343 high-speed steel is not easy to soften at high temperatures and has good red hardness. This means that it can maintain high hardness and cutting performance at high temperatures and is not easy to lose the sharpness and precision of the tool. This is crucial for the cutting process of processing high-temperature materials.
  • Wide applicability: 1.3343 is suitable for making tools for difficult-to-cut materials, such as tool steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys and other materials, effectively improving processing efficiency and cutting quality.

1.3343 steel heat treatment process includes annealing, quenching and tempering. The following is a common heat treatment process of 1.3343 high-speed steel:

  • Annealing: Heat the 1.3343 high-speed steel to 850-900℃, keep it warm for a period of time and then slowly cool it to eliminate stress, improve the structure and improve toughness.
  • Quenching: Heat the annealed 1.3343 high-speed steel to 1200-1250℃, keep it warm for a period of time and then quickly put it into oil or brine to cool it down to obtain high hardness and wear resistance.
  • Tempering: After quenching, 1.3343 high-speed steel usually needs to be tempered to improve toughness and stability. The tempering temperature is generally between 500-600℃, and the holding time depends on the size and requirements of the workpiece.

***Note: The specific heat treatment process parameters should be adjusted according to the actual situation to obtain the best performance. In addition, factors such as temperature, time and cooling rate need to be strictly controlled during the heat treatment process to ensure the quality and performance of 1.3343 material.
