MARTENSITIC STAINLESS STEEL
Material 1.4057 / x17crni16-2 is mainly used in aerospace, marine, food, nitrogen, paper and food industries for particularly loaded parts of pumps, the production of screws, nuts, parts of valves of installations, shafts, sleeves or spindles. The steel is a special grade used for the manufacture of aircraft parts.

Mechanical Properties
Material 1.4057 is a low-carbon chromium-nickel corrosion-resistant steel with the following mechanical properties:
- Tensile strength (σb MPa): in the quenching and tempering state, ≥1080 MPa. 1
- Yield strength (σ0.2 MPa): ≥205 MPa. 2
- Elongation (δ5%, %)): ≥10% in quenching and tempering state.
- Diameter reduction rate (ψ%, %): ≥60%.
- Impact toughness (αKU2 J/cm²): ≥100 J/cm² in quenched and tempered state.

Production Process
SPECIFICATION:
1.4057 x17crni16-2 Steel Bar containing 13% of Chromium retains much better corrosion resistance due to the small amount of nickel addition and the increased content of chromium in the composition. Material 1.4057 shows resistance to nitricacid, phosphoric acid, low concentrations of formic and acetic acids, sea water, and most nitrates.
Din 1.4057 steel also has good corrosion resistance and certain high temperature resistance. It has good corrosion resistance to oxidizing acids, most organic acids and aqueous solutions of organic salts, and can inhibit the brittleness of high-temperature tempering under certain conditions.
