H11 Tool Steel Properties

H11 steel is a kind of high-strength and high toughness hot work mold steel . It has excellent heat resistance and hardness and widely used in the manufacturing of high-quality molds, mold parts, and tools.

Characteristics:
H11 hot work mold steel has high comprehensive properties, especially excellent performance at high temperatures, and can maintain high strength and toughness below 600 ℃. H11 steel has high heat resistance and hardness.And can withstand heavy loads and impact loads at high temperatures. In addition, H11 steel also has good toughness and weldability, making it easy to process and process.
Chemical composition:
H11 steel chemical composition : carbon (C) 0.33-0.43%, silicon (Si) 0.80-1.20%, manganese (Mn) 0.20-0.50%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.030%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.030%, chromium (Cr) 4.50-5.50%, molybdenum (Mo) 1.10-1.60%, and cobalt (Co) ≤ 1.00%.

Mechanical properties (45HRC):
Tensile strength: ≥ 1500 MPa
Yield strength: ≥ 1240 MPa
Elongation rate: ≥ 10%
Impact toughness: ≥ 12 J/cm ²
Heat treatment precautions:
The heat treatment of H11 hot work mold steel includes four steps: annealing, normalizing, quenching, and tempering. During the annealing process, the steel should be heated to 820 ℃ and then slowly cooled to room temperature. During the normalizing process, the steel should be heated to 1020 ℃ and then cooled to room temperature. During the quenching process, the steel should be heated to 1020 ℃ and then rapidly cooled to room temperature. During the tempering process, the steel should be heated to 600 ℃ and then cooled to room temperature.
