12L14 is a free-cutting structural steel. It is easy to cut ,turning,milling, drawing, planing, drilling, etc. 12L14 is also called automatic machine tool processed steel, or free cutting steel. 12L14 steel is suitable for mechanical processing automated production lines.

Main uses of 12L14 steel
12l14 material is mainly used in the production of instruments, watch parts, automobiles, machine tools and other various machines that are less stressed and have strict requirements on size and finish. They have strict requirements on dimensional accuracy and finish, but relatively low requirements on mechanical properties. Low standard parts, such as gears, shafts, bolts, valves, bushings, pins, pipe joints, spring seat cushions and machine tool screws, plastic molding molds, surgical and dental appliances, etc.
