Products Description

C250 cobalt free maraging steel is a high-strength and high toughness steel developed on the basis of Cobalt containing maraging steel 18Ni (250) by removing Cobalt and increasing Titanium content. Using carbon free or micro carbon martensite as the matrix, Ti, Mo, and Al elements are added to flexible Fe Ni martensitic alloys to produce intermetallic compound precipitation strengthening effects through tempering or aging, thereby significantly improving strength and toughness. Maraging 250 steel without Cobalt has a tensile strength of 850MPa, almost same as maraging steel C250 with cobalt.

Maraging 250 Cobalt-free Steel meet the following specifications:

Smelting Process:

Maraging 250 Steel material shall be produced by multiple melting using the vacuum induction first melt,followed by vacuum consumable electrode process in the final remelt cycle.(Vacuum Induction Melted (VIM) plus Vacuum Arc Remelt (VAR).)

Delivery Condition:

Maraging 250 without Cobalt Bars and forgings will be firnished in the solution annealed, descaled and oiled condition.Solution annealing will be accomplished by heating one or more times to a temperature between 8 15" and 927" Celsius (C), for 1 hour per inch of thickness, followed by air cooling to room temperature.
