Products Description

1.4462 Material has the ability to withstand chloride environments and sulfide stress corrosion, and its strength is approximately twice the strength of standard austenitic stainless steel. This alloy can be successfully used as a replacement for 300 series austenitic stainless steels when higher mechanical strength/lighter weight is required. 1.4462 duplex stainless steel is easy to weld with many standard arc welding equipment, but is not recommended for oxyacetylene block welding due to the potential for carburization of the weld metal.
